There have been numerous reports and inquiries from Japanese travelers who have fallen victim to fraudulent websites when applying for the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC), which is required upon entering Malaysia.

The fake websites ask applicants to enter personal information and then request credit card details under the pretext of a processing fee. However, please note that there is no fee for submitting the MDAC upon arrival in Malaysia. Entering your credit card information may result in unauthorized use of your card.

The Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board has provided instructions in Japanese for registering the MDAC. Please refer to the following link for accurate information:

As online applications are increasingly required for various procedures, we strongly advise you to carefully check the URL of the website to confirm it is the official website, especially when prompted to enter personal information or credit card details.

If you have accidentally entered your credit card information on a fake website, please contact your credit card company immediately to request a suspension of your card usage or other necessary measures to protect yourself.
