Bangkok’s Electric Boats

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is currently offering free electric boat taxi rides along the historic Phadung Krung Kasem Canal in Bangkok, Thailand as part of a pilot project to promote cleaner, quieter urban transport and revive water-based travel in the city’s old town. These small electric boats, which carry up to six passengers, operate daily from around 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Hua Lamphong Railway Station Pier and Phra Sumen Fort Pier, stopping at 14 convenient points that link major transit hubs with cultural spots, markets and neighborhoods.
